BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: •Bachelor’s degree or 2 years related experience or equivalent combination •Advanced experience with databases, and with MS Office, Word, and Excel. •Experience, coursework, or other training in fundraising principles & practices. •Experience coordinating and managing projects with minimal supervision. •Experience in business writing and editing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: •Gift & payment processing: key user of fundraising management system responsible for accurate and timely data entry of gifts, pledges, donor interactions and other information. Handles donation deposits, batching, coding, and adjustments. •Ensure Hawai`i chapter compliance with TNC fundraising business procedures. •Provide timely administrative support for the philanthropy team, often as an assistant to the director of philanthropy, the executive director (as her work relates to fundraising), and associate directors of philanthropy. •Enter into database fundraising notes and data for state director and director of development. •Provide administrative support for foundation grant proposals and reports. •Oversee the timely mailing of donation acknowledgements/thank you letters and maintain record of these mailings. •Provide fundraising and donor-related reports for the Hawaii philanthropy team. •Plan and execute special events for prospects and donors, such as donor cultivation trips; annual events.. •Monitor pledges and funds raised against various fundraising goals. •Monitor and analyze metrics used to evaluate philanthropy program. •Manage newsletter mailing and other lists. •Manage donor projection entry process. •Handle philanthropy functions related to year-end closing processes. •Work with chapter finance staff on quarterly pledge reviews and pledge reminders. •Produce monthly pledge/gift reports for the chapter. •Create and deliver monthly transaction reports to finance, monthly fundraising report. •Respond to internal audit requests.
