Regular, Full-Time, RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the Pacific Cooperative Studies Unit (PCSU), located on the University of Hawai‘i (UH) at Manoa Campus in Honolulu, Hawai‘i.  Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, availability of funds, and compliance with applicable Federal/State laws.
MONTHLY SALARY RANGE:  $2,894-$5,530/Mon.
DUTIES:  Coordinates the human resources management needs of the PCSU.  Facilitates recruitment by assisting in job description development, advertising, reviewing procedures, ensuring full documentation, reviewing final selections for hire etc. Coordinates submission of timesheets, monitoring and auditing sick, vacation and other leaves, and reconciling with RCUH periodic on-line reports.  Monitors visa expiration dates and takes necessary action to ensure visas are extended/valid.  Makes recommendations with available options to PI and PCSU Finance & Operations Manager.
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/TRAINING:  Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in Human Resources or Business Administration.  EXPERIENCE:  Two to three (2-3) years of experience in personnel administrative management duties and responsibilities. ABIL/KNOW/SKILLS:  Knowledge of principles and practices of personnel and human resources.  Good computer skills, including experience with internet, MS Word and Excel, any database application, and email. Ability to interpret, administer, enforce and analyze personnel procedures and regulations. Good interpersonal and written communication skills.  Post Offer/Employment Condition:  Must be able to pass a post offer criminal background check. POLICY AND/OR REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:  As a condition of employment, employee will be subject to all applicable RCUH policies and procedures and, as applicable, subject to University of Hawai‘i's and/or business entity's policies and procedures.  Violation of RCUH's, UH's, or business entity's policies and/or procedures or applicable State or Federal laws and/or regulations may lead to disciplinary action (including, but not limited to possible termination of employment, personal fines, civil and/or criminal penalties, etc.).
SECONDARY QUALIFICATIONS:  Experience with UH and RCUH administrative policies and procedures.  Experience in working with issues related to immigration laws and procedures.  Previous database experience.
