Become part of Hawaii’s conservation story

Join the Malama Learning Center as we strive to heal the land and sea through our Ola Na Kini education and restoration efforts! We will be hosting monthly community workdays that span mauka to makai every second Saturday of the month rotating between 2 Leeward O'ahu sites - Palehua and Nanakuli Wetland (Zablan's Beach Park). We welcome you to kokua us in small huis or 'ohana units. We will host two shfits per wokrday with a max of five people per shift (AM Shift: 9am-11am; PM Shift: 12pm-2pm). Sign up required to attend workdays. To sign up for a workday, volunteers will need to fill out our Ola Na Kini Volunteer Workday Form. Volunteers are needed to help us remove invasive species, outplant native Hawaiian plants, care for plants by watering and weeding, and picking up litter/marine debris at coastal sites. Individuals and groups are welcome, children must be accompanied by an adult. Malama Learning Center will provide tools and guidance. Volunteers are required to wear comfortable work clothes, covered shoes, a cloth face mask, sun/rain protection, and bring a reusable water bottle.
