Become part of Hawaii’s conservation story

Celebrate Earth Day/Month with Surfrider by joining our annual Stream Cleanup in Mānoa! We will clean the Mānoa Stream on Saturday 4/27. All are welcome.

Whole Event is 9:30am-12:30pm. Check-in begins at 9:30 with some talks at 10am and cleanup from 10:30-noon.

This is one of Surfrider’s only land-based cleanups of the year--although beach cleanups are our norm, we feel that it is important to take care of all aspects of our island, from mauka to makai! We have picked up a ton of rubbish from this stream at past cleanups, so this is a big service to Mother Earth, to ensure this trash does not flow into our oceans.

The event will be at Ka papa Lo'i O Kānewai (on Dole Street to the east of the University dorms). We will be having two amazing guest speakers--Hiapo and Aurelia from Hawaii Streams and Ecosystems.

Coffee, tea, and food are provided for volunteers. Please help us be zero waste, and BYO mug/bottle for refilling coffee, tea or water.

Parking: find street parking in the area, and please bike/carpool/bus/bike/walk if you can :)
