Become part of Hawaii’s conservation story

Royal Hawaiian Center has partnered with Pūnana Leo o Mānoa to host E Mālama I Ke Kai 2019 on Saturday, May 25, 2019, an ocean awareness festival featuring live entertainment and educational booths to benefit the Hawaiian language medium education preschool. 

 

“This is the first year Pūnana Leo o Mānoa invites the community to participate in a full day of Hawaiian language, culture and ocean awareness initiatives, and we’re thrilled to host this year’s event at Royal Hawaiian Center,” said Monte McComber, Cultural Director at Royal Hawaiian Center.

 

Hosted from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in The Royal Grove, the event will feature enriching and engaging educational booths by Pūnana Leo oMānoa, Hula Is Life, Mānoa Heritage Center, Mālama Mānoa, Mālama Maunalua, Nā Kama Kai, Nā Leo Kākoʻo o Ānuenue, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Marine Debris Program, and Zero Waste Oʻahu.

 

Live entertainment will also be held throughout the day as follows:
