Assists the Stewardship manager in the land stewardship efforts at Kualoa Ranch in Hakipuu, Kualoa and Kaaawa ahupua'a. Responsibilities include participation in invasive species control, general pasture management, and restoring/ maintaining native habitats and cultural/environmental features on property. Work requires physical labor and ability to work independently and conduct strenuous fieldwork in weather extremes and/or hiking in undeveloped areas. Preferred experience with herbicide use, application equipment, and landscaping hand and power tools. Knowledge of basic natural resource management practices and competence in native Hawaiian plant species identification desirable. Must have good communication, problem solving and team work skills. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lb, push and pull up to 100 lb. Must have valid drivers license with good driving record. Open availability to include weekends and holidays.
